Import finance
If you are purchasing supplies from
outside of Spain, the local banks may be able to offer you import finance.
A credit line is set up initially for the required limit, and the
bank will pay your supplier's invoices at the due date, financing the payment
over a determined period of time (usually 90 or 120 days).
Banks
prefer this type of finance to an overdraft facility, as it ensures a rotation
of deals every three months or so. Some banks will offer a more flexible
facility which allows you to finance other types of international transactions,
such as discount of overseas customer invoices.
